About Tottenham

Tottenham is one of two constituencies which are contained within the London Borough of Haringey. The other constituency is Hornsey & Wood Green, in which Lib Dem MP Lynne Featherstone is campaiging for re-election, she having first won the seat in the 2005 general election.

In the last elections for Haringey Council, the Lib Dems won a total of 27 seats, of which 2 were from Harringay Ward in the Tottenham constituency. If the Lib Dems win just another two seats, they will be able to run Haringey Council after 40 years' of Labour rule.

There is no possibility of any other party gaining control of Haringey Council and indeed no other party has won an election for a single seat on the Council in over ten years.
